We also loaded media onto a 4 GB microSD, put that into an SD card adapter, inserted that into an SD card reader and connected the whole assembly to a mini SD / female USB extension cable. No problems there. We also inserted a 8 GB SD card into the SD media card slot and this also went smoothly.
